India Film Fest of Salento (IFFS) – the first and only Film Festival of its kind in Southern Italy, aims to offer the Salento community, and beyond, a unique opportunity to learn about India’s multifaceted culture and long history of its film production. The festival will be held in Italy, in the City of  Tricase at the Prince Gallone Palace from June 16-21, 2021

Call for entries is now open for the 5th India Film Fest of Salento 2021 edition, which will be held from June 16 to June 21, 2021 in the city of Tricase, in the heart of Salento. The call is open for feature films, short films and documentaries.

Eligible for the selection are films from India or by directors of Indian origin from all over the world, regardless of the theme, as well as films of international production with a focus on India.

Films must have been completed in 2019 or later. Productions can feature more than one film. Each registration must be accompanied by a separate form and the registration fee. Non-English language works must have English subtitles at the time of submission.

The Festival will present a combination of feature films, shorts and documentaries, and a series of special events dedicated to Indian culture including a section dedicated to Indian culinary pleasures, Indian music and traditional dance performances. Yoga, Ayurveda, scents, flavors and colors of today’s India.

June 21 – International Yoga Day 2021

In 2021 the 7th edition of World Yoga Day will be celebrated all over the world and the India Film Fest of Salento will organize for the second time the Yoga Day Tricase 2021 on the day of the Summer Solstice, Monday 21 June at the closing of the 5th Edition of  the India Film Fest of Salento. Since its institution at the United Nations General Assembly in December 2014, International Yoga Day has become increasingly popular around the world.
